Cooks like gas but with biomass!

About FAB

FAB uses eco-friendly biomass pellets as fuel and has a built-in fan powered by the solar panel, making it one of the cleanest, most environmentally-friendly cookstoves on the market.

The FAB is available as a single or a double burner stove.  It burns as cleanly and efficiently as LPG gas but at a fraction of the cost. Unlike many other clean-cooking stoves, you can control the flame on the FAB, thanks to the in-built electric fan.

Frequently Asked Questions about Energy-Efficient Cookstoves

An energy-efficient cookstove or ABS works by efficiently burning small pieces of wood or other biomass fuel in a combustion chamber. The design of the stove allows for improved airflow, which helps burn the fuel more completely and produce more heat for cooking.

While both rocket stoves and advanced biomass stoves are types of improved cookstoves designed to be more efficient and environmentally friendly than cooking on open fires, they are not exactly the same. Here are some key differences between rocket stoves and advanced biomass stoves:

Rocket Stove:

-Rocket stoves are a type of biomass stove featuring a vertical combustion chamber and chimney-like design to maximize airflow and burn fuel more efficiently.

– Known for their simple and low-cost design, rocket stoves are popular in developing countries and for outdoor cooking.

– Typically used for cooking food but can also be used for heating water and other purposes.

Advanced Biomass Stove:

– Advanced biomass stoves refer to a broader category of improved cookstoves that incorporate advanced technology and design features to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions.

– Available in various designs and configurations

– While advanced biomass stoves may be more complex and expensive than traditional rocket stoves, they often offer higher efficiency and lower emissions

Using an advanced biomass stove can help save fuel, reduce smoke and emissions, cook food faster, and be more environmentally friendly compared to cooking on open fires.

The suitability for indoor use depends on the type of stove and whether it specifies on the box that it can be used indoors. It is essential to ensure proper ventilation when using them indoors to reduce any potential health risks from smoke exposure.

Using an advanced biomass stove helps reduce indoor air pollution and exposure to harmful smoke, which has positive impacts on respiratory health for those using the stove.

FAB stoves are specifically designed to be used with biomass pellets. Please do not use charcoal or briquettes purchased from stores as alternative fuel sources.

Ensure you use dry pellets.

We recommend using a firelighter to start the fire.

Ensure the fan is on to increase airflow and aid the fuel combustion.

Single FAB: Up to 8 hours of use.

Double FAB: If both fans are running, up to 4 hours.

You can use any power bank, but it is recommended to use the EGA one as it is specifically designed for quality output and longevity.

Yes, you can use it indoors, but when the fan is turned off, the gasification process stops working, which can leading to smoke. It is best to remove the gasifier and take it outside when you are finished cooking. To extinguish it, you can throw some water on it and then dispose of the residue in the garden.

Ensure that all components are securely in their slots.

   – Ensure that the FAB stove is on a level surface.

   – Ensure that your power bank is charged.

   – Do not stand on the FAB stove.

   – To ensure the longevity of the FAB, keep it clean and wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use steel wool or abrasive cloths on the components.

Store your pellets in an airtight container. Do not expose them to moisture.

When you are finished cooking on it and it has cooled down, remove any residue ash and wipe clean with a damp cloth. To protect your stove from the elements, store it in a dry and covered area when not in use. Avoid exposing the stove to rain or extreme weather conditions, as this can cause damage. Additionally, make sure to pack the cables neatly and securely to prevent tangling or damage during storage or transportation. Proper care and maintenance will help extend the life of your stove and ensure optimal performance.
