Ener-G-Africa welcomes new Berg River store Manager

Ener-G-Africa is pleased to welcome Lauren Martin as the new Berg River Shop Manager, located in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. As a local resident, Lauren joined the Ener-G-Africa team in September 2023 and has quickly demonstrated her dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
“What we do here at Ener-G-Africa is provide an alternative for communities who lack access to reliable energy,” says Lauren. “Our energy-efficient stoves and cookware help families by reducing the time spent cooking and lowering the cost of fuels used. What makes me really proud of what we do is hearing our customers share feedback about how our products have truly made an impact in their lives.”
With a strong commitment to helping communities reduce their reliance on an unreliable energy supply, Lauren believes that Ener-G-Africa’s innovative cookware and renewable energy products are exactly what Africans need.
Cooking remains largely an unrecognized responsibility of women in Africa. Every day, millions of women across the continent have no option but to cook in unsafe conditions, using inefficient equipment. They spend hours collecting firewood for fuel and cooking on primitive, unhealthy, and often dangerous wood-burning stoves.
Ener-G-Africa aims to revolutionize the cooking experience for African women by providing accessible, cost-effective, and innovative cookware that saves time, money, and fuel. To date, Ener-G-Africa has opened 18 stores across Africa, working with local residents like Lauren to enable safe and clean cooking for African communities.
