New Shops in Mozambique

Ener-G-Africa is proud to announce the opening of three new stores in Mozambique, one located in Angonia and two in Tete.

Electrification in Mozambique has progressed slowly over the past 20 years, with grid expansion falling short of achieving universal access. By 2030, an estimated 4.5 million households will still lack electricity, which will limit access to clean cooking options.

Mozambique faces a significant clean cooking challenge. According to the Tracking SDG7: The Energy Report 2024, Mozambique is among the top 20 energy access deficit countries, with only 5% of the population with access to clean cooking.

Recognizing these challenges, Ener-G-Africa is providing locals with access to clean, affordable cookware through its new shops. These products aim to reduce health risks associated with traditional cooking methods, improving the quality of life for Mozambican families.

The use of clean cooking products is crucial for addressing health and environmental concerns. Traditional methods, such as using firewood, release harmful pollutants that contribute to respiratory issues, particularly for women and children who are most often exposed. Clean cooking solutions, like those offered by Ener-G-Africa, help reduce indoor air pollution, lower deforestation rates, and conserve local ecosystems.

By making clean cooking products accessible, Ener-G-Africa is not only improving health outcomes but also promoting sustainability and helping to mitigate the impact of climate change. Clean energy solutions empower families, reduce fuel costs, and create safer, healthier living environments for future generations.
