Ener-G-Africa Tackles Energy Crisis Faced by Dzaleka Refugee Camp

Home to almost 51, 000 refugees, the Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi faces significant challenges. Most refugees rely solely on humanitarian assistance to meet basic food needs, while their daily struggle is further exasperated by the high demand for charcoal and wood to cook daily meals.
Ener-G-Africa, committed to improving the lives of lower-income communities in Africa, recently visited the camp to demonstrate its product range, including biomass stoves, energy-efficient stoves, heat-efficient cookware and solar panels. The visit resulted in an agreement on payment plans for refugees to access renewable energy products which are designed to save on fuel costs and cooking time.
With Ener-G-Africa’s environmentally friendly renewable energy products, refugees now have a solution that genuinely improves their lives. Ener-G-Africa will continue engaging with Zone Leaders at the Dzaleka Refugee Camp to ensure that the energy needs of the refugees are met.
