Clean Cooking

A white paper by Christian Rakos

Ensuring widespread access to clean cooking is a crucial element in accomplishing numerous Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which was unanimously agreed upon and adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015.

To further highlight the importance of adopting cleaner and more sustainable methods of cooking, World Bioenergy Association president, Christian Rakos wrote a white paper unpacking why pellet fired gasifying cookstoves should be considered as a modern cooking solution.

According to Rakos, using biomass residues that would usually be burned or landfilled, as well as fast-growing grasses is an ideal use of local and renewable resources to be part of the energy system of the future.
